What We Do
Our scope covers the installation and wiring of room-pressure and differential-pressure sensors, and of pressure monitors and controllers where these fall within our controls package. We integrate those devices into the BMS — including BACnet integration where applicable, and other supported controls and BMS protocols where appropriate — and we configure the BMS points, alarms, trends and graphics that make the readings usable.
Where the control strategy sits within the agreed controls scope, we write and commission the control logic, and we integrate pressure control with plant and ventilation control strategies where that interface is properly defined within our BMS scope. We commission and test the BMS-side operation of the installed system.

We work to a specified pressure regime — we do not independently define it. The required pressure differentials, air change rates and containment strategy come from the project's mechanical designer or specialist consultant.
Alpha Controls does not design specialist containment strategies, certify or validate cleanrooms or cleanroom classifications, provide medical, process or laboratory compliance certification, or take responsibility for specialist mechanical design.
Saying so plainly is deliberate. Pressure work attracts enquiries that assume a validation scope, and it is better to be clear about the boundary at the enquiry stage than at handover.

What does Alpha Controls do on a room pressure system?
We install and wire room-pressure and differential-pressure sensors, and pressure monitors and controllers where these fall within our controls package. Do you define the pressure regime?

Can room pressure be monitored over BACnet?
Yes, where the sensors, monitors or controllers support it. Pressure values, setpoints and alarm states can be exposed as BACnet objects and read by the BMS alongside the rest of the plant, which is what allows a pressure alarm to be trended and investigated rather than simply annunciated locally. We also work with other supported controls and BMS protocols where appropriate.
Do you certify or validate cleanrooms?
No. Alpha Controls does not design specialist containment strategies, certify or validate cleanrooms or cleanroom classifications, provide medical, process or laboratory compliance certification, or take responsibility for specialist mechanical design. Those sit with the specialist designer, validation contractor or certifying body.
